Agradaa Loses Court Bid Against Empress Gifty, Slapped With GH¢6,000 Fine
The Tema High Court has dismissed an application by Evangelist Mama Pat, also known as Agradaa, seeking to strike out a defamation lawsuit filed by gospel musician Empress Gifty.
The court ruled that the application lacked merit and allowed the defamation case to proceed. Additionally, Mama Pat was ordered to pay GH¢6,000 in costs for delays attributed to her legal team.
In a related development, Empress Gifty has filed a fresh lawsuit against Mama Pat over recent allegations claiming that the gospel singer is HIV positive remarks deemed defamatory and damaging to her reputation.
