Adenta Kumi’s Pregnant Wife Suffers Miscarriage After NIB Storms Home To Arrest Him
The mother of Alfred Ababio Kumi, widely known as “Adenta Kumi,” has alleged that her son’s pregnant wife suffered a miscarriage after operatives from the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) stormed their home to arrest him.
Speaking to the media, Nana Ama Owusu recounted that the early morning operation involved about eight armed NIB officers who arrived at their residence around 5:30 a.m., while Kumi was taking a bath. According to her, the operatives forcefully broke into the house, damaging doors to gain access despite Kumi’s request for them to wait.

“They said they just wanted to speak with him, but they ended up taking him away,” she said, adding that although the officers didn’t fire their weapons, they used them to batter the door.
Tragically, she claimed that the chaos caused Kumi’s wife—who was four months pregnant—to fall while trying to open the door, leading to heavy bleeding and a subsequent miscarriage.
The arrest comes shortly after Adenta Kumi gained public attention for petitioning President John Dramani Mahama to dissolve the committee probing the Chief Justice’s potential removal.
This is how Adenta Kumi was picked up by NIB and just around 10:35 am today NIB surrounded the house of NPP Ashanti Regional Chairman. My argument on the conduct remains simple “their operation doesn’t looks professional” pic.twitter.com/yZcRFXoDNE
