Adenta Kumi Celebrates With NPP Executives Following Release From NIB Custody
Alfred Ababio Kumi, popularly known as Adenta Kumi, has been released from the custody of the National Investigations Bureau (NIB).
He was arrested on Friday by NIB operatives—a move that drew strong condemnation from the New Patriotic Party (NPP), which accused the ruling NDC government of using intimidation tactics against opposition figures.
According to his lawyer, Clement Opoku Gyamfi, Kumi was charged with publishing false news.

Following his release, a video surfaced online showing Kumi celebrating with Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin, NPP General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong, and other party officials, as they sang the party’s anthem together.
