A Friend Advised Me To Marry A Rich Man With Luxuries Instead Of My Husband – Piesie Esther

Ghanaian gospel star Piesie Esther has shared how misguided advice nearly cost her a lifelong blessing her marriage.

In an interview on Okay FM while promoting her latest single Nyame Ye, the award-winning singer revealed that just before marrying her husband, Enoch Aseidu, someone close to her strongly discouraged her from going through with the wedding.

At the time, Piesie had gained massive popularity with her hit song Me Nte Ase and had begun mingling with influential figures. This, she said, made the individual believe she “deserved someone of a higher status.”

“The person took me to a restaurant and told me not to marry him. They said that since I was now famous and meeting big men, I should aim higher marry someone rich, with cars and houses, who could even buy me a car,” she recalled.

The person went as far as reminding her of her humble beginnings, urging her to use her fame to marry into wealth for the benefit of herself and her family.

“At that point, I was very confused,” Piesie admitted. “The way the person spoke, it felt like it was my only chance to secure a better future for my family.”

Unsure of what to do, Piesie sought spiritual counsel from her late spiritual father. Through prayer and divine guidance, she became convinced that Enoch Aseidu was indeed the man destined for her.

Choosing love and faith over material wealth, she went ahead with the marriage a decision she says she has never regretted.

Today, Piesie praises her husband for being calm, God-fearing, and peaceful, qualities she cherishes deeply. As the son of a Pentecost pastor, she says he has been a pillar of support in both their marriage and her music ministry.
