We Won’t Step Down For Stonebwoy’s Concert – DJ Mensah Urges
DJ Mensah, a member of the Akwaaba UK group, has declared that they will not step aside for dancehall artist Stonebwoy to hold his album tour in the UK on March 8.
In an interview on Hitz FM on February 20, 2025, DJ Mensah clarified that the Akwaaba group has no intention of sabotaging Stonebwoy’s concert.
However, he stated that they are not willing to change the date of their own event.
He emphasized that Akwaaba UK has been organizing a concert every Independence Day and will not change the scheduled date for their event.
“I am speaking for Akwaaba, and even as DJ Mensah, who works with Akwaaba, I just want to make things clear that we are not here to sabotage anybody. The event is going to happen, and we are not stepping down for anybody,” he stated.
DJ Mensah also mentioned that the group is open to collaborating with Stonebwoy on future shows.

His remarks come in response to recent claims by Stonebwoy’s manager, Chief Stylz, alleging that the Akwaaba UK team and Alordia are attempting to “sabotage” the musician’s album tour in the UK.
