He stated that the initiative seeks to revive the party’s energy and prepare it for future electoral success by focusing on its core supporters and ideological roots. This comes after the NPP’s significant loss in the 2024 general elections.

Joining him on the tour were prominent party officials, including William Yamoah (Director of Finance and Administration), Haruna Mohammad (Deputy General Secretary), Salam Mustapha (National Youth Organizer), Jay Hyde (Deputy National Youth Organizer), Alhaji Osman (Ayawaso West Wuogon Chairman), Dr. Agyanim Boateng (TESCON Patron), Stephen Forson (Deputy Director of IT), and George Krobea Asante (Deputy Communications Director).

In a Facebook post, Mr. Kodua Frimpong stated that the tour marks a strategic shift towards grassroots engagement, aiming to rejuvenate the NPP by reconnecting with its foundational roots.

“I reflected on the party’s rich history, tracing its roots to groups like the UGCC, NLM, UP, PP, and PFP. I highlighted how these ideologically aligned groups were key in shaping the party’s formation and accomplishments.”

“Rebuilding our base means reconnecting with our roots, understanding the source of our support, and reinforcing the foundation that has driven the NPP’s success,” he emphasized.

“I also stressed the party’s renewed commitment to inclusivity, declaring, ‘The forgotten men and women of the NPP will be forgotten no more,’” he added.
