Beecham observed that earlier generations of gospel artists had to rely heavily on raw talent and dedication, as they lacked the sophisticated software available today to correct vocal pitch or edit performances. “Back in the days, we didn’t have the tools to fix pitch or tweak our performances. Everything had to be as perfect as possible live,” he said.

He also noted that the current generation of gospel musicians is somewhat different from the past. Despite these changes, Beecham encouraged ongoing support for gospel music, emphasizing its potential to grow even stronger. “Let’s keep supporting gospel music, and it will only get better,” he added.

Beecham’s reflections highlight the evolution of gospel music, from the days of pure, unedited performances to today’s technologically enhanced productions, while underscoring the importance of continued audience support in shaping the future of the genre.
