Event Organisers Do Not Pay Gospel Artistes The Amount They Deserve – Nacee

Award-winning gospel musician and music producer Nana Kwaku Osei, popularly known as Nacee, has voiced concerns about the poor remuneration gospel artistes receive for their work.

Speaking in an interview with Max TV during the 2024 Praise Achievement Awards at the Perez Dome in Accra, Nacee revealed that many gospel musicians struggle financially because event organisers fail to pay them what they deserve.

“We lack financial support because most gospel musicians attend programmes and the event organisers do not pay them well. This makes us fight harder than we are supposed to just to survive in this industry,” he said.

He explained that inadequate financial support not only affects individual artistes but also slows the overall growth of the gospel music industry.

Nacee called on stakeholders, churches, and event organisers to prioritise fair compensation for gospel musicians, stressing that proper financial backing would empower them to deliver more impactful music and sustain their ministries.

“With the right level of financial support, we will be able to do much more for the Kingdom and touch even more lives,” he added.
