Piesie Esther Credits Kuami Eugene For Helping Create ‘Nyame Ye’

Award-winning gospel artist Piesie Esther has opened up about the making of her hit song Nyame Ye, revealing that Kuami Eugene played a crucial role in bringing the track to life.

Speaking on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz, Piesie Esther shared that although she had written most of the lyrics, the song felt incomplete until Kuami Eugene stepped in.

“While recording, I just knew the song needed a Kuami Eugene touch,” she said with a smile. “I called him, and he made time for a session. After I sang my lines, he immediately identified what was missing, added some lines, and brought the energy and hook that transformed the song. At that moment, I knew we had created something special.”

She praised Kuami Eugene’s instincts and creativity, saying his contributions polished and elevated the record into what became a gospel anthem.

“What impressed me most was how he instantly understood what the song needed — the production effects and the perfect hook to make it stand out,” she explained.

Piesie Esther further commended Eugene for working with her even while traveling abroad, showing his commitment to excellence.

“That’s when I realized music writing is not just about talent; it carries a special grace,” she added.

When asked about secular musicians writing for gospel artists, Piesie Esther emphasized that songwriting transcends genres, saying, “It takes the grace of God to have such a gift.”
