NSA Unveils PIN Codes For 132,393 Individuals Set For National Service
The National Service Authority (NSA) has released PIN codes for 132,393 prospective personnel from 100 accredited tertiary institutions for the 2025/2026 service year.
In a statement dated June 17, Acting Director General Felix Gyamfi announced the release, noting significant improvements in data integrity and validation protocols.
According to Mr. Gyamfi, this year’s figure marks a 26% average reduction in submissions over the past three years, with a peak drop of 36% compared to the 2022/2023 cycle. He attributed the decline to enhanced transparency and stricter validation measures.
“This process has effectively eliminated inflated or bogus submissions,” the statement noted.
The PIN codes were selected from a total of 135,990 submissions by 122 tertiary institutions. However, 3,597 submissions from 22 unaccredited institutions were excluded, as these institutions are not recognised by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC).
Mr. Gyamfi emphasised that unless these institutions regularise their accreditation within 30 days, their graduates will not be eligible for mobilisation.

The NSA further disclosed that 908 PIN codes for private applicants comprising Ghanaian students who studied abroad, and deferred or defaulted candidates—are pending final verification before being released.
“In addition to the 125 PIN codes issued for accredited institutional graduates, a further 908 for private applicants are awaiting final verification,” Mr. Gyamfi added.
