His comments follow an earlier announcement by Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, who confirmed that the government had taken steps to evacuate its citizens from Iran as a protective measure.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Ablakwa stated, “The Mahama Administration has, in the interest of the protection of Ghanaian lives, decided to immediately evacuate Ghanaians living in Iran following an escalation of the Israel-Iran conflict.”
