In an exclusive interview with Nana Romeo, Beeztrap KOTM, the “Fly Girl” hitmaker, confidently asserted that Kumasi has outshone all other cities in producing musical talent in Ghana.
While some argue in favor of Tema and Accra, Beeztrap maintained that Kumasi remains the foremost breeding ground for music stars.
He highlighted the city’s long-standing influence in the Ghanaian music scene, noting that Kumasi has consistently been at the heart of talent development—from past musical legends to today’s emerging artists.
“Looking back through the years—from Daddy Lumba’s era to Sarkodie’s and Okyeame Kwame’s—it has always been Kumasi,” Beeztrap KOTM stated.
According to Beeztrap KOTM, the trend remains unchanged in today’s music industry, with Kumasi still leading the way—especially with the emergence of the Asakaa movement and a host of other talented artists.
“Right now, the music scene is centered in Kumasi, and all the top guys are there. We have Oseikrom Sikani, the Asakaa boys, King Paluta, Amerado, Strongman, and many more,” he noted.
Beeztrap further asserted, “If we’re being truthful, Kumasi has produced more artists than any other region.”
