Foreign Affairs Ministry Secures UK Visa For Student Accidentally Shot In The Eye To Undergo Medical Treatment
While accepting the equipment on behalf of the Ghana Armed Forces, Defence Minister Dr. Edward Omane Boamah expressed sincere gratitude to the U.S. government and its citizens for their continued support in promoting peace and security.

He assured that the armoured vehicles would be diligently maintained and deployed to ensure optimal performance and long-term durability.
This latest donation is seen as a significant boost to Ghana’s peacekeeping and counterterrorism capabilities, especially in light of evolving regional security threats.
Dr. Boamah also acknowledged the role played by the Member of Parliament for Bantama, Hon. Francis Asenso-Boakye, in bringing Suzy’s situation to his attention.
“Allow me to commend Hon. Asenso-Boakye, who first informed me of Suzy’s condition and requested my intervention as Foreign Minister after the tragic accidental shooting by her classmate,” he stated.
I am able to announce that the UK visas for Suzy Adwoa Pinamang and two caregivers accompanying her on her medical trip have been secured.
I have also instructed the Ghana High Commission in the UK to extend special consular privileges when she arrives in the UK.
